Meet Michelle Ekure, a graduate of International Studies and Diplomacy turns shoemaker

Michelle Ekure, who studied International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of Benin, embraced the art of shoe-making, after being jobless for six years. In an interview with Lukmon of Wazobia Global Times USA, Michelle said she didn't know or plan to be a shoe maker and was inspired by God.

She used to buy sandals from a company to resell until she sat down one day and thought that she could actually ask the company to build sandals for her with her very own labels. She tabled her proposal and the company agreed. A friend later introduced her to a guy that makes shoes and she got to learn the art of shoe-building and making from him.

Michelle drives more sales on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and she sells over 50 pairs of shoes per week. One of her loyal customers is ace comedian, Ali Baba.
She currently has six apprentices learning under her.
