Hawker’s death: Hoodlums destroy 14 BRT buses in Lagos

At least 14 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses were on Wednesday vandalized by suspected hoodlums along the Ikorodu Road in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the hoodlums were protesting the death of a street hawker, who was knocked down by an articulated vehicle while  trying to evade arrest by Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials at Maryland Bus Stop.

Istanbul terror attack: 41 killed; airport resumes flights amid blood, shattered glass

As passengers at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport waited to board their flights Wednesday, workers picked up shattered glass and washed away blood that was barely dry. Hours earlier, three terrorists attacked the arrivals hall and a nearby parking lot with gunfire and explosives, killing 41 people. Of the 239 people injured Tuesday night, 109 remained hospitalized Wednesday, officials said.

A gun and bomb attack on Istanbul's Ataturk international airport has killed 36 people and injured more than 140 others, officials say.
Three attackers began shooting inside and outside the terminal late on Tuesday and blew themselves up after police fired at them, officials say.
PM Binali Yildirim said early signs pointed to so-called Islamic State but no-one has so far admitted the attack.
Recent bombings have been linked to either IS or Kurdish separatists.
